How to edit home page contents in OBIEE 11g?

- Locate the bieehome.htm file from the following path, C:\oracle\fmw\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\msgdb\pages\bieehome
- Copy the file and paste it into this folder path (if some sub folders don't exist create it), C:\oracle\fmw\instances\instance1\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\msgdb\pages\bieehome\

- now open the bieehome.htm file from the directory you just pasted into. Use MS WordPad if you don't have an HTML IDE

- Navigate down the page to the section labeled "Create...". If your know HTML you'll understand what to do right away. Comment out the section as this is just html or add new HTML and content to reflect your desired changes.

- Save the file

- Restart Presentation Services (Or if you really want to ensure it works you can restart all services if it makes you feel better)

- Done.
